And then he walked along the edge of the Circle

This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

Comments on UFO [reply]

ufo at their peak.
a truly fantastic band & a real connection with the suitably rowdy apollo crowd.
this night lives on in my memory as oun of my favorite gigs ever, & believe me there were many & all at the apollo.

One of the best live bands I ever saw, and I saw plenty, Schenker was awesome and almost inspired me to take up the guitar but I became a roadie instead [reply]

The band that made my brother decide to buy a flying V and nearly made me get a perm and dye my hair blond!! Youth - it was wonderful. Saw them about 4 or 5 times at the Apollo and it was always a great night. They alway connected with the audience and never let you down. No matter how wasted Mogg was he was always on good form on the night. Whenever I need a pick up a blast of Rock Bottom from Strangers always does the trick. [reply]

had heard they'er musice back in the states, now my chance to see them live in the u.k. a killer concert they played there balls off that night. once again a majic moment at the mighty apollo... lights out in london!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [reply]

Seen them twice at the Apollo always delivered the goods. Thursday night was a great night for a gig, had PE on a Friday, gave me a chance to wear the T-shirt from the night before. Always helped if the dates where printed on the back [reply]

Strange band, the first time i saw them they were brilliant , classic british(euro) rock the next time they were ok and the last time I only lasted three songs before I went home [reply]
